hello i am trying to make a digital restoration of a very small fresco that I photographed in bad light on an internal wall at pompeii. The content to me is baffling and includes distant ruins and various figures engaged in activities I find hard to distinguish yet there are clear strong similarities of style to a painting I have seen in your collection and would hazard that is work of same artist. it's condition on the wall is poor and possibly has suffered from over cleaning.n I would like to send you a sample for your inspection. Some of the content is also of a kind of psychedelic Also from my modern perspective re content it is hard to parse the aesthetic, being apparently badly painted and yet product of fairly popular artist of little talent yet enjoying a high demand for his frescos, judging by several disparate examples to be seen. I have seen similar styles possibly by the same artist here at your page where the rendering of perspective is crude and the human figures badly drawn and elements of both figures and of architecture repeated. I am fascinated by what these figures are saying since they appear to be directly addressing the viewer theatrically in some instances.
