Holi Festival, India

Amazing Holi Festival when people take to the streets to throw coloured powder and water at each other to celebrate the beginning of spring. These are some random images from the web that remind me of another famous festival in Spain, la tomatina, another rather colourful event held every year in a village called Buñol where people throw tomatoes at each other. No, believe me, this is not a typing mistake, I said tomatoes. The proof in these pictures here :)

April's quiz

Where will you find this cute little thing?

An Exhibition: Maharaja

Maharaja: The Splendour of India's Royal Courts

It was held in the Victoria&Albert Museum in London between October and January. I would have loved to see these pieces. You can still visit the exhibition online

Results to March's quiz

Hello!

Something really unexpected has happened. One person has actually sent a response to last month's quiz and she got it right. It is Raffael's Lady with a unicorn who is wearing the gorgeous pendant.
Agnes Szucs is a graphic design student from Hungary (not Bulgary) and her blogs Szucs and iiiinspired look really cool. Thank you Agnes for your comment. You'll soon be receiving at your home the very famous "Las palabras mágicas award for the first person who takes part in the quiz", I really hope you will love this little surprise .

(oh my, what a milestone for this blog)

Leonardo Da Vinci quotes

I've been looking for quotes by Leonardo Da Vinci and now I know why he's really a classic speaking to us. The proof:

Leonardo on self-help:
In rivers, the water that you touch is the last of what has passed and the first of that which comes; so with present time

Leonardo on fundamentalism:
The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions

Leonardo on studying:
Learning never exhausts the mind
dd
Leonardo on Giorgio Armani:
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication

Leonardo on the economic crisis:
He who wishes to be rich in a day will be hanged in a year

Leonardo on the artist
He who is fixed to a star does not change his mind

Questions without answers IV or V, I've lost track

Exactly at what point does the old fashioned becomes vintage?
