After due celebration of the winter solstice, the time of the year when light starts to win the battle over darkness in so many cultures, but that's anothe story..., I don't know where to start. There's so many things I would like to share with you here! Maybe I can start by sharing a link to a post I read a few days ago in the blog cherry blossom girl and I really loved. She took some photos when she went to visit the Lesage Atelier of hand embroidery in Paris. Here's some of them:

in a painting called "The miracles of St Vincent Ferrer". It was painted in 1473 by Ercole de Roberti, an Italian painter who worked in Italy in the XV century (Ferrara c. 1450-Ferrara 1496).

It is now part of the Vatican collection of paintings. It's possible to take a virtual tour online here, it's quite worth it I think.
